Get excited for the Noosa Festival of Surfing!
The Noosa Festival of Surfing is held annually in March.
NFOS has grown from humble beginnings to become the largest longboard gathering in the world. Pre-covid, the festival has attracted significant participation from international and interstate surfers.
The festival to return to its core roots established three decades ago, through the re-introduction of more age divisions for male and female competitors. The Family Challenge event will also be re-introduced, as well as the longboarding Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) surf event. Depending on event restrictions, it’s anticipated that the ever-popular Vetshop Dog Surfing Championships will be held too. The Festival will showcase some historic and new initiatives, in and out of the water, in what will be largely a local and regional event.
Various surfing events
The Noosa Festival of Surfing offers separate events for women, men, juniors and for professionals, amateur and teams. Furthermore, the organisers confirm that yes, once again everyone’s favourite, the Dogs on Boards event is still happening.
For fans of Noosa and surfing, this event combines the best of both worlds. For anyone who has not visited before during the surf festival, add this event to your bucket list.
Some of the world’s best long-boarders converge to test the breaks and the surfing is world class. Likewise, Noosa comes alive with an entertainment program centred at Noosa Main Beach.
Everything is accessible and the festival vibe is relaxed and family oriented.
