One of the many attractive features of Sunrise Beach is how the natural environment has been preserved. Development has been kept to a bare minimum, and there is a wide swathe of bushland buffering the town and the beach offering numerous beach access points.
Sunrise Beach is located directly south of Sunshine Beach and just a 5-minute drive from Hastings Street, Noosa Heads. It is close to the Noosa National Park walking trails and the pristine beach has a patrolled section all year round.
It is a popular beach for surfing and kite-surfing, and if you want to get out and about and explore, the options are endless.
From Sunrise Beach it is a short walk to Sunshine Beach and its delightful community village atmosphere. Notable restaurants include Embassy XO, Fratellinis, Cinque Terre and the Sunshine Beach Surf Club.
Take a short walk along the beach to the southern section of Noosa National Park. Follow the coastal track around the top of the dramatic cliffs to Hell’s Gate and experience glorious coastal views.
Alternatively, you can take a variety of forest and rainforest walks and watch for koalas and other wildlife.
Both options allow you to walk all the way to Hastings Street and Main Beach, Noosa Heads. Or, it’s a quick 5 minutes in the car, or a short bike ride. Indulge in unique boutique shopping experiences, spa treatments, world-class restaurants, funky cafes and bars and creative gallery experiences.
Sunrise Beach is also perfectly positioned to experience the Noosa hinterland. Enjoy a historical pub lunch at Lake Cootharaba, experience local arts and crafts at the Eumundi Markets or enjoy a scenic country drive.
